Ben-Hur and the 32nd Academy Awards

The Worthy boys are going chariot racing in this episode! Ben and Jon go back to the year 26 AD to talk about the William Wyler epic, "Ben-Hur". The 1959 Best Picture winner stars Charlton Heston in the titular role as he plots his revenge in this biblical epic. The film's large scale production has cemented itself among one of the classics that 1950s Hollywood has to offer.

At the 32nd Academy Awards, Ben-Hur took him 11 Oscars. It is a record that has never been eclipsed by any film to date, which only highlights how grand of a scale the film was. In this episode Ben and Jon discuss religious films and the intense sequencing of the chariot race that the film is mostly known for.
